Founded in 2013, Coastal Medical Transportation Systems is a 24/7 emergency and non-emergency transportation provider serving healthcare institutions and patients across New England with a team of over 1000+ EMTS and Paramedics, and a fleet of 250+ vehicles. CMTS provides best-in-class client care and a personalized experience to our clients with a variety of services from Mobile Healthcare Services, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), as well as wheelchair and walk-on transportation to and from their desired destination or event, for both medical and non-medical appointments. Our team delivers clinically superior care and utilizes the latest emergency medical services (EMS) technology.

AMBULANCES:

CMTS Ambulance Service is available 24/7, providing expert clinical transportation across New England. Our state-of-the-art ambulances are fully equipped with advanced medical supplies, including oxygen delivery systems, spinal immobilization equipment, defibrillators, blood pressure monitors, bandages, and splints.

Whether responding to interfacility emergency calls or handling routine medical transports, our highly trained paramedics deliver exceptional care in transit—even during peak seasons. With extensive training in advanced airway management and ventilation, our team ensures the highest standard of patient care.

Wheel Chair / Transit
Our Wheelchair division offers a variety of unique vehicles that are wheelchair accessible and offer our patients a genuinely liberating transport experience.
Our fleet consists of the VPG MV-1s. Chrysler Pacifica WC van conversions, Dodge Grand caravan WC van conversions, and the Ford T-150, which is a much larger vehicle and has the ability to transport bariatric patients and wheelchairs that are much larger than the average size.

Quality Training

Coastal Medical Transportation Systems is committed to the highest training and educational standards in the industry. From a comprehensive new employee orientation program to countless continuing educational opportunities, our providers receive the latest in emergency medical training with regular knowledge and competency checks. On top of foundational education, all ambulance personnel receive emergency vehicle operator training from nationally-accredited providers. Paramedic staff are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Mechanical Ventilation, and specialize in interfacility ransport. EMTs are certified in Basic Life Support. Transit drivers are certified in CPR & Standard First Aid.

The commitment from CMTS’s leadership to high-quality training and education is paramount. Some continuing education courses offered annually are Prehospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Medical Life Support, Difficult Airway Course: EMS, Procedural & Anatomy Labs, Fundamentals of Airway Management, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care and many more.
