Founded in 2013, Coastal Medical Transportation Systems, LLC is a 24/7 emergency and non-emergency transportation system serving healthcare institutions and patients across New England. We provide best-in-class client care and a personalized experience to our clients with a variety of services from mobile COVID-19 testing and vaccination, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), as well as wheelchair and walk-on transportation to and from their desired destination or event, for both medical and non-medical appointments. Our team delivers clinically superior care and utilizes the latest emergency medical services (EMS) technology.
We are owned, operated and managed by local medical and business professionals and take great pride in serving and giving back to our community. Our experienced team is dedicated to the highest quality of care and service and treats each client with loyalty, honesty and dignity.

AMBULANCES:
CMTS Ambulance Service is available 24/7 and provides clinical transportation for patients on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Our ambulances are outfitted with state-of-the-art medical supplies including bandages, splints, oxygen delivery services, spinal immobilization equipment, defibrillator and blood pressure monitoring equipment. No matter how remote, our team provides interfacility emergency calls and routine transportation to or from tertiary care facilities, specialty hospitals and clinics – even at the height of the season. Our paramedics are clinically trained to provide advanced medical care during transit and participate in extensive advanced airway and ventilation training to support patients. Wheel Chair / Transit
Our Wheelchair division offers a variety of unique vehicles that are wheelchair accessible and offer our patients a genuinely liberating transport experience.
Our fleet consists of the VPG MV-1s. Chrysler Pacifica WC van conversions, Dodge Grand caravan WC van conversions, and the Ford T-150, which is a much larger vehicle and has the ability to transport bariatric patients and wheelchairs that are much larger than the average size.
Quality Training
Coastal Medical Transportation Systems is committed to the highest training and educational standards in the industry. From a comprehensive new employee orientation program to countless continuing educational opportunities, our providers receive the latest in emergency medical training with regular knowledge and competency checks. On top of foundational education, all ambulance personnel receive emergency vehicle operator training from nationally-accredited providers. Paramedic staff are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Mechanical Ventilation, and specialize in interfacility ransport. EMTs are certified in Basic Life Support. Transit drivers are certified in CPR & Standard First Aid.
The commitment from CMTS’s leadership to high-quality training and education is paramount. Some continuing education courses offered annually are Prehospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Medical Life Support, Difficult Airway Course: EMS, Procedural & Anatomy Labs, Fundamentals of Airway Management, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care and many more.
